When a couple has dated for a period of time and they feel that they get along well and care deeply for each other; they may agree to be in an exclusive relationship. For some couples, this relationship will turn serious. When a relationship is into its fourth or fifth month, it starts to become a long-term relationship. For a lot of people long-term relationships can last many years; teens do not often think of marriage. When in a long-term relationship, it is important to give the relationship the respect that it deserves. A person should respect their partner and not give in to any temptation to cheat on them. If a person feels they must meet desires by becoming physical with others, it is fair to relay this to their partner and most often the relationship should not continue. When in a relationship, it is wise to communicate well with your partner to discuss issues that may arise. In addition, a loving person will offer emotional support and treat their partner with kindness and caring.
