Cartoon Network censors blackface all the time. However, it was a gag used often in cartoons of the era. I don’t necessarily have a problem with them censoring for children who may not appreciate the minstrel reference… but it would be nice to have it as an adult swim choice. Perhaps with commentary explaning the references. Package it up as “Uncut Classics” or something, for those of us who truly love these cartoons and are grown adults, capable of understanding the references.

I saw this episode a few days ago on boomerang. The cut was so sloppy I had no doubt a blackface scene had been removed. Anyone so thin-skinned as to be offended by this needs to get slapped around for a while.

the reference to black people? this isnt even funny, i dont understand the point in keeping in there if it has a small chance of offending someone, it personally doesnt bother me, but my opinion doesnt matter if someone else gets hurt from this. Point is, if its not funny, whats the point.

oh yes, support the people that STARTED blackface, thats hilarious btw. Also, if it was real in the 1940s, doesnt mean its real now, the choice to censor these things are completely logical. Try not to take offense, but im positive around 5/6 of the people that support these things are white, me being myself white im a bit offended by the way white people support racist jokes. These jokes aren’t even funny! Oooh look, a reference to the origin of black face, Thats great! -.-

Only the racist scenes are censored, They keep the cigars, guns, explosives. I dont see why people are giving a shit about a few racist scenes

The FCC, thats who, also im sure some strict family or religious group would protest or something. I personally wouldent want my kids (i dont have them, but if) to see this, one of my worst fears in becoming a parent is that my child becomes a racist
