A video by Plug-in Partners promoting the many benefits of Plugin Hybrids Electric Vehicles. If the current US vehicle fleet were replaced overnight with PHEVs, oil consumption would decrease by 70 to 90 percent, eliminating the need for oil imports and leaving the US self-sufficient in oil for many years to come. Even if the electrical power for those vehicles were drawn from coal-fired power plants, CO2 emissions would drop by more than half. If the power were produced by renewable energy …

Excellent vid! I’ve got a deposit sitting down at the local Toyota dealership just waiting for the first PHEVs to roll in. Our current vehicles can’t last much longer and we can’t wait to PLUG IN!

you could also argue if god didn’t want us to buy hybrids he would give us energy such as wind/solar/ and gpe.

You know, its not that I’m against alternatives – but its comments like this that expect ridiculous things. You can either go backwards and to a prehistoric footprint where everyone lives like the Amish, you can try to put more government incursion into peoples lives that they already have and ban cars and who knows what else, or you can try to help get new technology off the ground that will help energy and vehicles. I like to think the 3rd option is the best. MT and bikes dont help rural areas

If God wanted us to buy hybreds he would not have put oil in the ground right under our feet. Hybreds fund the liberal agenda of homosex, art, abortion, veganism and satanism. Oil funds freedom and the word of Christ. War brings the word of God to the Godless who practice islam. Without oil, they would never hear the words of Christ.

The auto industry will continue to hurt until they begin to sell plug-in vehicles.

Why don’t Americans have PHEVs or even efficient turbo-diesel cars as do Europeans and Japanese? Because the purpose of the Federal Reserve Corporation is to keep US addicted to non-renewable energy, war and debt. Watch “The Money Masters” and investigate Operation 911. (Open Secrets)

the solution is a BIGGER CAR !!!
its called a trolley or electric train
well how bout short distance comutes
you have one already hanging in your garage its called a BICYCLE !!

Driving around 500 to 1000 pounds of batteries to save 2 gallons of gas is stupid. This is especially true when you are talking about lithium-ion. One phrase – thermal runaway is all I need to say here. We need a fundamental technology leap. Until then, use the PPH60 from gogreenwithct. This system uses batteries to power the electrical loads in your car so the extremely inefficient alternator doesn’t have to.

Seems like electric, plug-in hybrid vehicles will be the first automobile evolution to hit the market.
Within the next couple of years, it seems as though there will be a push by all of the major automobile manufacturers to offer plug-ins to customers.
This offers a tremendous investment opportunity in lithium-ion battery companies, as well as in electric motor manufacturers.

Nope. I know what you’re talking about and that’s more like a Yahoo! messenger thing. Youtube wouldn’t do this.

Mr Forlorn Studios, do you think that “smug” was not actually a mispelling?

I’ve seen, or heard, more acurately, this problem on my computer too. Then I discovered that the sound was being arbitrarily turned down by windows. It wasn’t just me, I’ve seen a friends computer do this too. So go to your Settings then Control Panel then Sounds and Audio Devices then Sound Playback, here you click the volume button. If you see the slides are not turned up you know this is the problem. I hope this helps.

Exactly, the concept is VERY appealing and I’m 100% behind it, but a lot of poeple have nowhere to plug in their car. I don’t think any of my friends have access to an outlet where they park their cars. But if all the people who does switched, it’d still be a huge improvement. The rest could wait for infrastructure for either an EV or Hydrogen car.

Higher primary electrical demand.
