Surfer Sting was great. But Crow Sting went to even higher levels. Lots of people change gimmicks throughout their careers without changing characters. HHH started as a spoiled rich kid when he made his WWF debut. HBK’s gimmick evolved through the years. But Sting and Big Poppa Pump took opposite approaches. Sting dropped the bleach blond hair and Stiener picked it up.

I liked Sting’s gimmick back in those days. He had great intensity. When he tells Flair “I’ll leave you for dead! Dead, dead, dead!”, his eyes are awesome. Sting is a legend and I love the fact that he was TRULY the franchise player for WCW.

How many times did Flair “swerve” Sting over the years? 1000? Every time he trusted him, you knew what would happen…which is what made it so great.

Flair was the KING OF COOL. I would love to believe that sometime in my lifetime there would be another wrestler like him but I seriously doubt it.

The crow Sting may have been a better character, however the Surfer Sting had way better matches.
