On the Western Front from 1915 to 1917, the Allies and Germany were deadlocked in mortal combat over trench lines extending 500 milles from the Channel to Switzerland. The side who would overcome the obstacle of the trenches would win.

the first episode (to arms) deals with that.

…and liberal democracies aligning themselves with ruthless autocracies for “strategic purposes” is nothing new. it still happens today (ie. U.S. & Saudi Arabia)

These videos are wonderful, to say the least. I would only comment that the cause of the current public’s indifference is that videos like this don’t explain the reasons people fought; just that they are fighting,”Thats all”. Why would French democrats; that elect leaders and believe in a democracy side and fight with and go to war for a Czar (a monarch).

People were shot for such actions as taking cover and having shellshock in WWI. By their own troops. WWII was sucks, but WWI was even suckier.
