If…( and I really mean IF) I remember this right, a few other song along with this one were written by Tom Lehrer , for a TV show called ‘That Was The Week That Was’ TW3 paved the way for other more successful shows, like the Smothers Brothers, and Laugh In.
It’s a shame the show didn’t last longer…
