yeah but when you say it like that it shows that 400000 life’s is nothing every one of them life’s probably had a family friends. yes the Soviets played a far more vital role in the European war but the US,UK and Canada played a part as well.

Really, When you take a look at the numbers. You can’t really compare the soviet sacrifice to that of the allies. They lost almost 20 million in the struggle to nazi germany. America lost 400000 in both theatres.

Through the Lend-Lease program with Britain, US was pretty much involved in the war, its just when Japan decided to surprise attack our Pacific fleet in PH is when FDR decided to retaliate by bombing Tokyo.

Actually America Started to help supply USSR after Russia was invaded because everyoen took pity on Stalin and then saw his as someone just sticking up for their country

No they didn’t. before pearl harbour they were delivering suplies to the british after london was bombed it was only after pearl harbour that the Americans openly atacked Germany

The Axis defeated themselves by half-assing their strategy. Taking out Russia first and not pissing off the US would’ve been the smartest tactic… no one would’ve rushed to Stalin’s aid. The rest of the hemisphere is cake. Then secure your resources and conquer the unprepared US and Canada.

I’m American and I never considered them getting destroyed…they held in there but we definitely came in and helped them out major, but it was cooperation though and that’s how we won the west.

Also, Hitler underestimated the Americans, Dutch, and British. All 3 held strong. He definitely underestimated America’s speed in mobilization and the strength at which they fight.

2. Enigma code was broken early in the game.
3. Hitler got “figured out” and became predictable – for example, Churchill saved England’s airforce by taunting Hitler into focusing on bombing London.

i have to say germany could have actually won the war if they put there time in effort upgrading their guns tanks aircraft etc etc instead of inventing new and pointless things such as ‘The Super Heavy Tanks”
