    nobody loves Nusrats voice than me, but Qawalis original origin is South Pakistan (Pakistani Punjab), read history or atleast consult with some good historian to correct yourself, and BTW I have never heard a single time Nusrat said Qawali is from Afghan,

    Qawwali originated in Afghanistan. You can find Nasrat himself saying this in many interviews.

    so this is where it all began, how this great song originally came to be. You can tell that it’s still a work in progress, before its completion in 2002. I’m glad he kept Nusrat’s voice in both the official studio recording and all the live versions that followed.

    I feel like ever since he died Pakistan has been miserable..what a lost..at least he trained Rahat but every time I listen to Nusrat I get chills

    Remember watching this back in the mid 90′s and being blown away by Nusrat. His voice.. h is power.. his passion.. Only a few artists/singers that have moved me the way Nusrat has.. Jeff Buckley being the other.. rip JB/NFAK

    first off all vcliffordv to make ur mistake correct is that pakistan was united one day before india got united and one thing more that this kind of music was born in pakistan when india pakistan where 1 and another thing this came with de mughals and they where muslims because we have ruled on india for more then 1000 years
